H. E. Zacharie Gahutu
Prior to his nomination, H.E. Zacharie
Gahutu was Chief of Staff to the
President of the National Assembly of Burundi, and between 2002 and 2006
he was Burundi Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
During his assignment in Geneva he was also President of the African
Ambassadors to the United Nations. He is graduated in Agronomy
Engineering, and he has been Director of the Lycée Scheppers in
Burundi's capital Bujumbura, and also Professor of Agronomy in Rwanda.
