Visa Information Sheet

The following documents are required for a visa:

1. A valid passport (minimum six months validity)
2. Three application forms per applicant
3. Three recent passport-size photos
4. For official business: a letter from the government/company
5. For visitors: an invitation letter by family members or friends
6. For tourists: proof of hotel reservation and a roundtrip ticket or letter from a Travel Agency
7. Health certificate containing certification of required immunization and vaccination (Yellow fever)
8. There is a visa fee  for US citizens (Multiple or single entries), and also for non-US citizens (multiple or single entries) payable in cash, money order or company check (please contact the embassy for the current fares).
9. Visa can be renewed in Burundi if an additional period is required.
10. A return self-addressed, stamped, express envelope for Federal Express Air bill.
